The New WORX 2.5A Oscillating Multi-Tool

Some of the most versatile tools in our shop are oscillating multi-tools. These super-useful tools allow us to cut, saw, sand, scrape, rasp, polish, shape, and remove grout or adhesives in tight places.

There are a variety of oscillating tools available: corded and cordless, and 7 AMP and 2 AMP, to name a few. Depending on what you’ll use an oscillating tool for most, the larger, more powerful oscillating tools may not be the best fit for the job.

That’s where the new WORX WX665L 2.5A Oscillating Multi-tool comes in. At just $60 $40, the WX665L is an affordable introduction to the convenience and versatility of oscillating tools. The unit features the WORX Universal Fit accessory system, which enables the tool to accept accessories from other brands, without adapters.

Weighing in at just 3.2 lbs., the WX665L features a variable speed dial to set the oscillating speed according to the accessory being used and the job at hand. Variable oscillating speeds range from 11,000 to 20,000 OPM (oscillations per minute), and the tool’s oscillating angle is 3.2 degrees.

The WX665L is equipped with built-in dust extraction to connect (via included adapters) with a 1 ½ or 2-inch vacuum hose and comes with a 1-3/8 inch standard wood end-cut blade, sanding pad, three sanding sheets, and Allen key.

The WORX 2.5A Oscillating Multi-Tool is available at Lowe’s and WORX.com for about $60 $40 and is covered by the WORX 3 year warranty.
