In our own garage, we’ve had an old-fashioned wheelbarrow with a flat tire hanging on the wall for about eight years—we just never use it, despite breaking our backs carrying bags of mulch to the backyard every other season, rock salt for the water softener or pavers when we finished our back patio. Real men don’t need no wheelbarrows! ?
While working on our article for the Worx cordless trimmer, we ran into another WORX product that we thought was pretty cool. Not that this is WORX Week here at GarageSpot (although that’s a pretty cool idea!), we still wanted to share this nifty 8-in-1 multifunction wheelbarrow that’s been available since about mid-2014.
The [amazon link=”B00KCIZ5SM” title=”WORX Aerocart” /] is a two-wheeled, three-cubic-feet wheelbarrow that doubles as a dolly, plant and rock mover, and even a mobile water tank via optional accessories.
Here’s a video from WORX showing just how versatile this thing really is:
The all-steel construction Aerocart can haul up to 300lbs, but because it balances weight better than traditional singled-wheeled wheelbarrows, your lift weight is reduced to about 20-30lbs at most. The 10″ no-flat tires also mean zero maintenance and, of course, no flat tires.
On the front of the Aerocart, a dolly pad flips out to allow for the moving larger items, like a refrigerator. A trailer hitch ball can also be mounted to the face of the dolly pad allowing you to reposition trailers or boats up to 1000lbs.
The fold-out extension arms on the Aerocart allow you to carry large flower pots, mulch bags, straw bails, and other oversized items—it basically acts as an extended dolly pad. Finally, the cylinder bracket allows you to move large round objects, like welding tanks, for example.
The Aerocart is available in three models: the [amazon link=”B00KCIZ5SM” title=”Aerocart itself” /], the [amazon link=”B014G2G1DC” title=”Aerocart w/ Garden Wagon Kit” /] and the [amazon link=”B014G3IQ8E” title=”Aerocart w/ Snow Plow Kit” /]. The base unit comes with the cylinder holder, bag holder, plant mover strap, and rock mover mesh.
It’s not every day one gets excited about a wheelbarrow. But the Aerocart is seemingly very useful and has great reviews.
