Briggs & Stratton is on the hunt for powerful stories. To help launch the company’s new YOU. POWERED.™ brand tagline, Briggs & Stratton is turning to social media with a contest asking you to submit stories about people—yourself included—you feel deserve recognition for doing powerful things with outdoor power equipment within neighborhoods and communities. Five winners will each get $3,000 to help fund their powerful project, plus a new piece of outdoor power equipment from Briggs & Stratton.
Briggs & Stratton is going all-in with a good looking microsite, YouPowered.com, developed exclusively for the campaign. And since marketing today is all about storytelling, here’s to hoping that people participate, because there’s a lot of good going on out there, and much of that good requires outdoor power equipment (think volunteer home repair, cleaning, maintenance and building). Here’s the brand’s teaser video highlighting one such case:
To enter, you’ll need to upload your relevant photos and videos, along with your story, to the Briggs & Stratton Facebook page tab, specifically for this contest, or directly to the YouPowered.com website. Alternatively, you can share your stories via your own Twitter or Instagram accounts, but be sure to tag @BriggsAndStratton and use the #youpowered hashtag in your posts.
The contest began April 12th and will run through June 17th, 2016. Complete rules and details can be found on the website as well. About a week in, there’s only a little traction, so let’s see those stories, do-gooders! 🙂
